Patrick Anderson received a Masters Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005. As a student at the University of Southern Mississippi, Mr. Anderson studied the percussive arts under the direction of Dr. John Wooton and studied conducting under Dr. Steven Moser. As a Teaching Assistant to Dr. John Wooton, Mr. Anderson was responsible for instruction of the undergraduate Applied Percussion Lessons course, instruction of the Southern Mississippi Community Steel Band, and equipment management.
In 2003, Patrick Anderson received a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance and a Licensure Certification for K-12 Music Education from the University of Iowa. During his time there, Mr. Anderson studied the percussive arts under the direction of Dr. Daniel Moore.
Currently, Patrick Anderson teaches K-6 general music at Mark Twain
Elementary School and Horn Elementary School in Iowa City, Iowa. Mr.
Anderson is also continuing his studies in the percussive arts, and
the music of Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. Anderson performs professionally
with the eastern Iowa based steel band "Hammered Steel".
